Volvo Penta Stuck Propeller Removal Tool for DPS Drives. Type D & F Propellers
Prop Puller Wrench kit for installing and removing Type D & F Volvo Penta Duoprops that are stuck, or "frozen" on the DPS drive. This puller will only work on props with straight, not helical splines.
***THREADS MUST BE GREASED ON PULLER IN ORDER TO WORK AND NOT VOID WARRANTY***

Make sure that the splines on your prop shaft are greased to ensure easy prop removal in the future. We recommend using Quicksilver 2-4-C Marine Lube

Removed Forward Volvo Penta Duo-Prop
Forward prop was stuck due to corrosion on the splines. Lubricated the center rod with marine grease per prop shop recommendations, and used high powered 1/2" impact driver. Make sure that the tool is fully engaged and the center rod is engaged in the center of the spline prior to engaging the impact wrench. An expensive and only solution to remove the forward prop without using a die grinder to destroy your props. So in that sense it is pretty reasonable. The props had been properly greased before, but not certain how long it had been since they were removed as I recently purchased the boat. Recommend replacing the forward prop bolt as it has something like a seal that was probably allowing water to get to the splines.

Excellent tool, well made and easy to use. I will probably never have to use it again. But well worth every penny if your prop is as hard to get off as mine was.
