Why buy your inboard propeller from us?
Some websites offer inboard propellers for direct purchase online. You just click add to cart, checkout, and a week or so later you receive a new propeller. While this may be convenient, it often does not lead to the best results.
The reason is that inboard propellers are relatively complicated. You have to know your pitch, diameter, rotation, bore size, among other things. Without speaking to a prop professional, it is very easy to order the wrong propeller. To make things worse, inboard propellers are all custom/semi-custom and when you buy an online, usually you are unable to return it. If you can return it, you will most likely be looking at expensive restocking fees.
When you buy from us, we will check to see if any of your numbers don’t quite add up, explain the pros and cons of different props, and do a sizing if necessary. If we do not have the prop you need in stock, we can either special order it, or have our experienced repair shop modify an in stock prop to the necessary specifications. Our goal isn’t to just sell you any propeller, we want to sell you the right propeller for your application.
The Prop Shop has one of the largest inventories of inboard propellers on the West Coast in both bronze and nibral material for power, sail and ski boats.
