What WOT RPM Should I Be Reaching?
Posted by Chris on Dec 22nd 2016
As mentioned in a previous blog entry, your engine has a range that the manufacturer would like you to be able to reach when running at wide open throttle (WOT). Even if you do not usually run your boat at WOT, you need to be able to reach that range for proper performance and engine longevity (the boat needs to be loaded as it normally would and be trimmed out). In the link below, you will find a PDF put out by Michigan Wheel with a list of WOT RPM for different engines.
